That is the number I’ve usually found to work well with inking, sort of like auto-correcting your lines to be smoother, without slowing the lines down.Ĭombine this with simple, confident and straight-forward strokes, made with a comfortable arm movement. If your lines are a bit shaky at first, you can try setting the pen stabilizer to 1-5 (up on the toolbar when using brush tool). So it all depends on your preferences too. but right now i’m also working with normal brush pens at 14-30 minimum width, because I am doing a more cartoony, ink pen like style for the lineart. For example, in the brush settings i turn the “min width” all the way down if i want to have a very thin, tapered, “sensitive” or “sharp” look to my lineart. You just have to make sure that it feels comfortable enough and fits your own lining style. The default Firealpaca/Medibang Paint brush is actually decently adequate for this job and is what i started out with when using Firealpaca for the first time before it had customizable brushes.
